The Fishing
Our beautiful mountain spring creek is inhabited by
scores of trout that have escaped or migrated in over
the years from a hatchery, just upstream. Yes! Over a
half mile of this fine stream can be exclusively yours.
A stream maintained and enhanced with numerous habitat
improvement structures, just for the fly fisherman.
While only a few miles from the town of Marlinton, this
remarkable secluded, isolated valley allows you to leave
the stress and strain of the outside world behind. It's
a retreat where your biggest worry can be glimpsing a
big Brown, Rainbow, Brook or Golden Trout and trying to
match the hatch of Mayflies, Caddis, or Stoneflies. So
if you are frustrated with public streams of marginal
quality, full of "power baiters" and "stock truck
chasers," then this is the place for you !!.
Other outstanding fly fishing on public streams are
available within a few miles. Those include the Elk
River, the William's River and the Cranberry River for
trout, as well as the Greenbrier River for Smallmouth
Bass.
The Licensing & Limits:
All West Virginia fishing license requirements apply
while fishing in the stream. In addition, we manage the
stream for fly fishing, catch and release only. So,
bring your camera. No license is required while fishing
in our trout pond.
